"Prostate cancer mainly affects men over 50, and your risk increases with age. The average age for men to be diagnosed with prostate cancer is between 65 and 69 years. One man in eight will contract prostate cancer, so it is imperative that the walking football community helps and support this very important charity."
The Rules Of The League Knockout Cup (in support of Prostate Cancer UK) Competition
A Club MUST enter a team of NINE players. This cup competition is MANDATORY therefore a club/team team must contain 3 over 50's players but under 60, the rest of the squad of nine need to be over 60's players. We want to make this inclusive as possible for all ages. The tournament principles are based on fair play and obviously this includes the physicality of the players. NB: The Rules Committee reserves the right to change the format of this event each season.
All proceeds inc. entry fees (less matchday fees) from the event are to be donated to Prostate Cancer UK. The competition entry fee must be made by bank transfer to the club organising the event no later than 7 days before the event. All clubs can make further donations to Prostate Cancer UK on the day. NB: All donations and competition entry fees (less matchday fees) will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK after the competition.
Any further donations that teams, players, supporters or match officials can be placed in the Prostate Cancer UK collection buckets or tins available on the day of any EWFL League or Cup fixture/s.

Season 2019 tournament was held at the Len Forge Centre, home of Eastwood Falcons WF on Sunday 14th July 2019. The 2019 winners were Leyton Orient and the Runners-Up, Wakering WF. The event raised £652.40 for Prostate Cancer UK.
